Work-Study and Interning
Baltimore Reads is dedicated to education and economic uplifting not only for our students, but for the greater community. At Baltimore Reads we have enjoyed having various work-study and AmeriCorps members on our staff, from programs ranging from Public Allies of Maryland to AmeriCorps' VISTA program. Students from Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland, University of Baltimore, Lincoln College, and Medix have all worked with Baltimore Reads in providing skills for life to the Baltimore community.
Baltimore Reads work-study students and interns enjoy all the benefits of being Baltimore Reads staff members. They hold positions, are given responsibilities, and are provided with professional development training that would normally not be made available to them. As a member of the Baltimore Reads team, you will be given the opportunity to learn how a nonprofit organization functions and be a part of the process of growing the program.
