Donor Privacy Policy

Awareness. BRI's Donor Privacy Policy explains how we use the information that you voluntarily provide us in support of our work and mission.

Information Collected. Here are the types of donor information that we collect and maintain:
  • Contact information: name, organization/affiliation, complete address, phone number, email address;
  • Payment information: credit card number and expiration date, and billing information;
  • Shipping information: name, organization/affiliation, and complete address;
  • Information concerning how you heard about BRI and other contact you have had with us;
  • Information you wish to share: questions, comments, and/or suggestions; and
  • Information on any follow-up request you have made and how we respond to it. For example, acknowledgements to third parties, requests for periodic updates, or periodic mailings related to specific fund-raising appeals.
How we use that information. BRI will not publish, sell, trade, rent or share names (unless you agree that they may be released for publication), e-mail or mail addresses, or telephone numbers of donors. BRI will use contact information (e-mail, telephone number and address) of donors for these purposes only:
  • Distribute receipts for donations
  • Thank donors for their donation
  • Inform donors about upcoming fundraising and other activities of BRI
  • Annual reports of donations
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Book Bank solicitations
  • Internal analysis and record keeping
  • Reporting to relevant U.S. and State agencies (these reports are not for public inspection)
  • Contact donors about changes to this policy
No Sharing of Personal Information.  BRI will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to other organizations. We assure you that the identity of all our donors will be kept confidential.  Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of BRI and only to further the activities and purposes of BRI.

Removing Your Name From Our Mailing List.  Please contact us if you wish to be removed from our mailing list.
