Donate Books!

We need and accept ALL KINDS of books, whether they are for children or adults!

Books of any kind can be dropped off at any time at the Book Bank, located in the Sun Building.

The facility does not have to be open for you to leave your books on the loading dock. Your donation of books is tax deductible and we are able to provide tax receipts for your records.

If you are unable to drop your donation off, we are happy to pick it up!

Please email BookBank@baltimoreReads.org to schedule a pick up. Please understand that we only have one van to make pick ups, so pick up is limited to donations of 150 books or more. Please have books boxed up and ready to go!

Need directions to the Book Bank to drop off your books? Directions available here.

What we do with your books

All children's books donated to the Book Bank are placed on our shelves for free distribution and will NEVER be sold.

Adult level reading books are used as inventory for the Book Exchange to help sustain the Book Bank and other free literacy programs
